Old Auburn Historic District
Visit Historic Auburn (very close to many of the hotels near the venue). View the center of a historic mining town where history meets the charm of modern life. Visit for vintage shopping, breweries, and great bites! We recommend Ragged Glory Trading Co for the best local shopping.
Old Sacramento
Old Sacramento is the riverfront historic district, with Gold Rush-era buildings, cobblestone streets, and horse-drawn carriages. It’s home to numerous museums, including the Sacramento History Museum and the state Railroad Museum, which offers excursion train rides.
Newcastle Wine Tasting and Breweries
Newcastle and its neighboring town, Loomis, have many breweries and wineries in the same area as the wedding venue. Go wine tasting or check out some local brews! Some recommendations for breweries are High Hand Brewing, Loomis Basin Brewing and Nicole's favorite, Hillenbrand Farmhaus Brewery. Some winery recommendations are Lecavalier Cellars, Casque Wines, and Hill Top Oaks Winery.
The Galleria Mall
Go shopping at the Galleria mall or across the street at the Fountains. Every store you can think of is here!
Lake Tahoe
Visit Lake Tahoe, an hour and some change from the venue. Enjoy hiking trails, scenic drives, and great bars!

Wine tasting galore! Cheaper than Napa, with some of the same wineries, Amador county and the surrounding areas include wineries like Rombauer, Casino Mine Ranch, or Helwig (just a few of our favorites).
