If you’re reading this, it means that you’ve been invited to our wedding, which means that you’ve probably watched us grow together as friends and as a couple over the past 13 years. We never would have guessed (although many of you did) that we would end up together romantically back in high school, doing a school project in 11th grade English class along with our Officiant, David Colberg. After that, our friendship was cemented, and we spent time together almost every day, making time between school and sports and hobbies to eat, play, or to swap stories. Things had become romantically charged a few different times over the passing years, but nothing stuck for various reasons. We made all kinds of excuses, but the truth is we weren’t ready. We parted ways and went to different colleges, Tom to Colorado and Sarah to New York, but stayed in touch as good friends do, and got together during breaks. In early 2015, things started to change and things began to click into place. Sarah was living in Jersey City and Tom would make trips to visit, and Sarah would take the train to see Tom in Blairstown. Late in 2015, the relationship was serious and Sarah moved to Harrisburg Pennsylvania with Tom hot on her heels, moving in together for the first time just a few months later. We added our Australian Shepherd to our little family and named him Daxter after the fuzzy sidekick of one of our shared favorite videogame characters, and in 2018 moved in with Sarah’s parents in Las Vegas temporarily before moving to our current residence in Spokane, located in Eastern Washington State. It's a gorgeous area, covered with pine trees as far as the eye can see. Daxter has a yard to run and jump and play, and Tom and Sarah are happier than ever with their lives, loves, and this future marriage.
