Hi guys! It's Heather! For a bit of context for those of you that don't know how Foster and I met..... here is our story. I had just moved from my small hometown of Lawndale, NC to Wingate, NC, to study at Wingate University. After being in Wingate for less than a month, a woman who knew my mom and his mom thought that we could get along very well and maybe become good friends. So she asked if she could give Foster my number. I said sure and I'm so glad I did! After texting and calling a couple of times, I found out it was very easy to talk to him. So when he asked to meet in person, it was a clear yes. We met and I felt an instant click. We met up a couple more times to hang out and soon he asked me out. Neither of us had really dated much before so we were learning how to date together and learning about each other. We dated for a year and because of life circumstances, we broke up (I know sad right). But it was part of God's plan, we both did a lot of growing and maturing in our faith and in life. We were apart for about a year and a half. But Our God is a God of second chances, and He gave us our second chance at a relationship. We got back together in July of 2025, and we could not be happier! After a long history of laughs, tears, walks, phone calls lasting hours, music rants, and forgiveness toward each other, we are finally making the ultimate commitment of marriage before God to each other (and we are so excited about it!!!)
