11:50am on August 4th, 2015. Christina walked in to her new office her first day as a Faith Church intern. She was nervous, excited, and slightly thrown off by the random guy sitting on the couch in front of her whom she had never seen before. Low and behold, he was the first person available to start her assimilation. As he walked her through time clock, showed her how to use her computer, and all other things nerdy she had to learn, she actually found him to be less than likable and promised herself she would never talk to him again unless she had to. His monotone dry humor didn't exactly spark her interest, and though he thought she was way too old for him, he wasn't sure about her personality either, they were complete opposites in almost every way. One night, Christina lost her keycard and needed a replacement before a large event the next day so she had to do the one thing she told herself she wouldn't do...She had to text Bryan, who took advantage of having her number, and texted her a few nights later after a group dinner they attended after service with a group of mutual friends. From there, the conversation never really ended, she was intrigued at his ability to hold a conversation, and he was intrigued by her personality and sass. I guess it's true though when they say "never say never"....three years later, they plan to make take the biggest adventure ever and say "I do." He became her very best friend and her biggest supporter. Through all her sass and attitude, he remains patient and kind. He leads and guides and constantly pushes her to be better and she challenges him with her sass and strong opinions and supports every dream he wants to pursue. When they are together, laughter is inevitable. They are each other's favorite people. So, for those of you who tend to use words like "never," I'd watch what you say because the Lord does have quite the sense of humor.
