The easiest way to reach Lillehammer from Oslo or Oslo Airport (Gardermoen) is by train. The journey takes about 2–2.5 hours and offers beautiful views along the way. Trains run regularly throughout the day, and tickets can be booked on Vy’s website: https://www.vy.no/en. Driving is also an option, with Lillehammer about a 2-hour drive from Oslo.
