Matron of Honor
She was my first best friend and the one that I would share everything with, except clothes. She was my ride or die in the green Beetle to school every morning and to the beach every summer. We made it through 15 years living together in Savannah and after a break, two more in Atlanta. She stood by me last year at my wedding and I can't wait to stand by her. Sarah is my wonderful baby sister, who I named after a girl in my preschool class, because I knew my Sarah was going to be my friend too.
Best Man
I moved to Rutledge, Ga in 7th grade and at that time the church we started going to was right across the street from our house. As we started to attend, we meet Mrs. Tammy, Wesley's mother, who was the youth leader. She then introduced me to Wesley. It was a little awkward at first because long story short, Wesley thought I was deaf, but after getting past that we started playing hide and go seek in the gym. From then on we were always together, from getting through high school, to tackling college and then moving off into the real world, we've been best friends ever since.
Bridesmaid
On the first day of sorority recruitment at Georgia State in 2012, I met Sarah in the AOII recruitment room. We had a great conversation and an instant connection. I knew this girl was meant to be someone special in my life. We ended up talking every single day of recruitment. I even cried because I thought there was a chance Sarah didn't want to go AOII and I was going to loose my new friend I'd met. True story!! On bid day, Sarah ran home to AOII and was my bid day buddy. And yes, I cried again. Finally the special day came in September where she became my AOII little sister at Big Little reveal. Eight years later, she is one of my best friends and I've enjoyed so many memories from our ever growing lifelong friendship.
Groomsman
I met Wes through my wife, back when he was dating my sister-in-law. We hit it off immediately and I've never looked back since. One of the few men I've ever shared a karaoke stage with while performing Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." I've always felt like he was my brother and he just gets the official title, best brother-in-law.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and I met at cheerleading in 8th grade. I can still remember how awesome her high V toe touch was! Friends through high school and then we were roommates in college. Some of my best times were with Sarah. She stood by me at my wedding and now I get to stand by her.
Groomsman
Wesley and I had AP Calculus together at Morgan County High school. We were then roommates for three years of college at Southern Poly. We became fraternity brothers with the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Wesley was recently a groomsman in my wedding.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and I met shortly after she and my brother, Wesley, started dating. We used to tear up the town in Statesboro. Then when she graduated from GSU and moved to Atlanta, Wesley and I followed soon after... we began tearing up the town there too! I'd say Sarah and I go way back (when it comes to her and Wesley's relationship).
Groomsman
What can I say! We are cousins and I've known you since '97, but I'll never forget the day you shot your first deer in the two man stand with three people in it.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and I met a few years ago at a Burkhalter house party, that probably had a backyard bonfire and a very loud speaker. We had the same major in college. When I moved across the street from her, we started to carpool to class together (where she made me late, every. single. day). With all of the late night study dates and Starbucks runs, Sarah quickly became one of my best friends and I am so excited to stand by her side on her big day!
Groomsman
Wes and I first met when he was hired at Chili’s and I was his manager. Because I was his manager, our friendship was forbidden for the longest time. I had to pretend like we weren’t close because I couldn’t show favoritism (even though he was always my favorite). Sports are what ultimately brought us closer... it was either that or trying to train his lazy butt in the gym. He’s always been a great friend to me even though he likes the Falcons.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and I met 12 years ago at Savannah Christian and we've been friends ever since. From middle school days to college roommates and even working together, Sarah and I have had some great times over the years. We've been there for each other through the good and the bad. She's the most fun loving, hilarious, caring, and sarcastic person you'll ever come across. I couldn't be happier to stand by her side on her big day! Can't wait to see what the future holds for this amazing couple.
Groomsman
Wesley and I met one day at school in gym/weight lifting class after I'd visited his church. We've been brothers ever since.
Bridesmaid
I can't remember when or how we met because it was so long ago. I think after Jessi, I've been friends with Sarah the longest of all the bridesmaids. From middle school basketball teammates to college roommates, Sarah is a sister to me.
Groomsman
Wes and I met working at Chili's during college at Georgia Southern. Wes, Tristan, and I moved in together during our Junior year and that's when we all became really good friends. Even though we root for different teams (Go Cowboys!), we can both agree that football is the greatest sport.
