Sophia Burch

Maid of Honor

My sister is my maid of honor and I'm so happy about it. I wish I was cool enough to say that I was her protector growing up across the board, but I was scared of the dark until....ok, I still kind of am. Sophie was the one I would make go down into the basement before me when we were growing up maybe because I felt safe with her or I felt she was good monster bait? Regardless, I'm glad no monster ever ate her because without her my life wouldn't be as fun. Now, we just like to scare each other around the house now that we've grown out of fears of ghosts. Her quick wit, meticulous attention to detail, kind heart, and humor will always be something that adds richness to the lives around her. When you find her on the dance floor, make sure to dance with or near her!

Tana Overcashier

Bridesmaid

When we were in second grade, Tana was the cool girl and I was the weird freak who thought burping was cool. Tana is for sure still the cool girl with a goofy humor and a big heart. We grew up making action-packed videos with Randi, her older sister, directing every plot. We'd always go adventure through her backyard which happened to be a big park/woods. I can't picture my childhood/life without her. Tana's heart for people and for God is something I have always and will always admire about her. She has always been a light in my life and SO much fun to be around. Having her up there with us while we get married is such a gift. I'm so thankful for our friendship and so thankful that she's a part of my life.

Patrick Skufca

Bridesman

Patrick and I met in high school and since then, he's been such a strong and consistent friend. We met in high school English class where I remember irritating Mr. Walters because he'd always make us laugh. Always one for total honesty, confidence, and a friend who is always reliable. I've always admired his humor and ability to see things from multiple perspectives. I can always rely on Pat, especially when it comes to wanting an honest opinion and immediate text back! I'm so excited to have him up there with us while we get married. He always goes the extra mile...or few hundred in this case in coming to MN for our wedding!

Ellen Ball

Bridesmaid

Elma! Ellen and I met when Tana moved a couple houses down from her when we were in middle school. Us three had so much fun together growing up! I think she was there for every major belly laugh growing up. Ellen taught me how to drive in her mom's white van when we were, like, 15 while at her cabin in Alexandria (sorry, Laurie!) and the first time we all tasted UV Blue was in her parent's basement....(again, sorry Laurie!) I'm so happy she's going to be up there with us, and I'm so grateful to have her creative talent be able to be a part of our wedding with doing all of our hair. With Ellen, I've always admired her drive in her talent and business as a hair dresser. Her kind, personable heart shines through both personally and in business. She has always been such a bright light.

Megan Westerhoff

Bridesmaid

Megan and I met for the first time when we went to visit her and David in Georgia last summer. Before leaving for the trip, I joked with Jacob that I was going to force her to be a new best friend and she has no choice. What a relief that it actually was a choice, and she is now going to be up there with us when we get married! With Megan, it's been so much fun knowing her and seeing her be such a good, loving mom to Baby Junior. I know Megan will be in our lives for the long haul (I'm not trapping her, I swear) and I'm so excited to have her as a friend! Also, I know she's going to give such good advice when we have our first (of 100) baby. Having her there with us as we get married is such a gift!

Alex Alvarez

Junior Bridesmaid

Alex is my (Jacob's) younger (Canadian) cousin. She can be a bit shy at times, but once you get her to open up a bit, look out! She has such a great personality and is really becoming such a great young woman. She keeps me up to date with all of today's trends and dances, most of which I have no idea what they are called but she and I would be more than happy to demonstrate at the wedding upon request! Anytime we are all at my grandma's house for the holidays, Jeffe and I force her to drive around with us so that she can educate us as to what the hot music the cool kids listen to nowadays (shouts out Yung Gravy). I know I speak for both Syd and myself when I say that we are extremely excited to not only have you at the wedding, but to be a part of it.

Rob Burch

Father of the Bride

My dad is the most generous, thoughtful, loving person I'll probably ever know. Even though growing up he told us that Britney Spears CDs didn't work in his car, they only worked in Mom's car, he has always been someone I can rely on to be honest with me! In my good decisions, and maybe especially in my bad decisions, my dad has always been my first call for refuge. I really thank God for him. Because of him and his influence, I had the clarity to pick a great man to marry. <3 And for all the great things he's done for our family, I'm still making/asking him to dance with me at my wedding. My parents had a harpist at their wedding because he hates dancing. I promise it will be fun, Dad! I know I'm going to be a good mom one day because of how he raised us and I think that is such a gift.

Sandy Burch

Mother of the Bride

My mom is like an angel. In my brain angels are like these strong, warrior-type, smart, loving, rational hotties with wings. My mom doesn't have wings but she has everything else. God really knew to pair us together on earth, because I can't and don't want to ever imagine my life without her. She supported and encouraged me to switch schools my senior year so I could go to the performing arts school of my dreams, and then continue to pursue dance in college, but I have a feeling she always knew we would end up working together in the business she built. And I am so happy about it! My mom is a treasure and she knows it! Make sure to catch her on the dance floor probably twerking something fierce with Alison while snapchatting. <3

Doug Forst

Father of the Groom

Big Doug! My pops is responsible for turning me into the man I am today. At a very early age, he instilled the importance of a good work ethic, being a man of your word, and providing for your family, which is exactly what he always did for us. We never went without growing up, and even through tough times, he never allowed any of us to see him lose his cool. His temper? My brother and I knew how to make him lose that just fine, but I've never seen him stressed out. He always had everything under control. To this day, he is the one I call when I need someone to talk me off the ledge (I clearly don't handle stress near as well as him). Breakfast with the Duke, Man Lessons, his dork sense of humor, and his huge heart are few of the reasons why my dad is my role model. I love you pops.

Ana Forst

Mother of the Groom

Momma Forst! If you know anything about me, you know deep down I'm a momma's boy. My mom literally means the world to me and has done so much for me. She served as a mom to not only me, but all of my friends, giving us a place to watch wrestling on Monday night's and providing much needed advice while we ranted in drunken stupor (*cough* Myren). Through the ups she was there to congratulate and encourage me, and through the downs she was the first to pick me up and lead me back in the right direction. She never made me feel like I was a bad person, just that I'd made bad decisions & taught me to be accountable for my actions. She is such a good, loving person who would do absolutely anything for her kids, and I cannot thank her enough for the childhood she gave me. I love you so much mom.

Jesse Forst

Best Man

First, I'd like to point out that there is an error above. My best man's name is actually Jeffe so please refer to him as so at the wedding. When he was born and my parents brought him home, my first words were "Take that damn baby back!" Not my best look, but luckily between that and a few years (give or take) of pushing buttons, he was able to forgive me and as young adults, he is one of the most important people in my life. He is the most loyal, giving, and caring person I've ever met and has grown into someone that I truly admire. I'l always be the big brother so this will be the only time I can admit I look up to him, but I'm very proud of the man he has become. When I proposed to Syd, it was a no-brainer who my best man would be, and I'm looking forward spending this moment with him.

David Westerhoff

Groomsman

Although I didn't meet David until college, I really feel that we grew from boys into men together. We've been through more together and have shared more experiences in those college years than I can even write. He has always been my confidant, someone I can go to for advice no matter the time of day, and above all, an awesome friend/brother to me. He is someone that I really respect and admire, and I'm honored to know him and be a part of his and his family's life. We can get a bit competetive at times (Catan, chess, Smash Bros), but at the end of the day it never turns ugly and always ends in jest. I am so fortunate to have him in my life and for him and his beautiful wife Megan to be a part of my and Syd's special day.

Edmund Zhang

Groomsman

Edmund and I met in the college dorms and lived together for 4 years throughout college. He can solve just about any problem you throw his way, even taking it as far as making a 3 drawer dresser out of cardboard boxes in college because we were too cheap to buy one. When we weren't busy pulling all-nighters to finish projects we procrastinated on, we'd spend our days thinking of new devices we wanted to invent to avoid doing all the things we hated doing (most notably, the self-folding laundry machine), playing DOTA & Smash, and telling eachother how much we hated eachother like all normal brothers do. Edmund is one of my closest friends, and every time I'm in Cali, I always make it a point to link up with him. I can't wait to have him there with me at the wedding.

Myren Moore

Groomsman

I met Myren back in high school. He transferred from some school in LA and on his first day he came to school decked out in DX gear. Once I found out he was an even bigger wrestling mark than I was, I knew we were going to be best friends. Between Monday Night RAW parties, sneaking into wrestling afterparties at live shows, cutting promo videos on Facebook, and overall doing all we could to drive my dad nuts, Myren has been a brother to me all these years later. He is someone I know I can turn to with any problem and he will do everything he can to help me out, no matter how far away he is. I'm honored to have him up there with me on my wedding day, he will always be the Edge to my Christian. Give him 2 shots of Patron, throw on some Drake, clear the dance floor and enjoy.

Jorge Solorio

Groomsman

Jorge Solorio aka the Godfather of Shotgun Saturdays!! I first met Jorge through a mutual friend in high school where we'd sit in the back of class and play NBA Live on his PSP. From playing ball at Jefferson Park, endless Hot N Readys, me busting him up in 2K (sorta), and all the shenanigans we'd get into in LA and on the east side, Jorge has always been a guy who has had my back from the beginning. Even when I moved away for college, we'd always stay in touch and be sure to link back up whenever I came back into town. He has the ability to make anybody in any situation laugh and his positive outlook on life is infectious. I've got more stories involving Jorge than I can write, so when you see him be sure to talk to him and hear for yourself!
