Kasey's version: I started volunteering as a nurse for Camp Braveheart in 2021 and noticed Jason very quickly. I thought he was so cute, but I was too afraid to approach him. We "officially" met at camp in 2022 when I helped one of his campers. After meeting him, Jason seemed like a genuinely nice guy. In 2023, I wondered if he would be back at camp and when I got out of my car, Jason was the first person I saw! I noticed he was coming by the medical lodge more frequently to chat with me, and he even brought me a cookie after the camp dance. If you know Jason, that's a big deal, because normally, he doesn't like to share his sweet treats! I knew I wanted to keep talking to him, so we kept in touch after camp. Two weeks later, he flew down from Chicago and we had our first date. Something inside me told me he was the one and now, here we are! Jason's version: I started volunteering as a camp counselor for Camp Braveheart in 2014 and never imagined I'd be meeting my future wife here. During my first ever interaction with Kasey, I quickly noticed how kind and compassionate she was. She was helping me with a camper who needed medical attention, and I remember thinking to myself, I really have to introduce myself to her. Kasey continued to volunteer at camp events, and I found myself making up reasons to go see her and chat with her; I even brought her a cookie. At last year's camp I began to develop a crush on Kasey; I mean how could I not! Everyone loved her, she was so sweet and caring to all the kids, and most importantly, she laughed at my jokes. I was so nervous to break the friendship barrier, but I sensed there was a mutual feeling. After camp ended, I told her that I liked her and asked if she felt the same way; thankfully she did. Two weeks later, I flew down from Chicago and we had our first date. Something inside me told me she was the one and now, here we are!
