Kristin's Story

The Long Distance Test

Tim and Kristin went to Mosley High School together and even graduated the same year, however, their story doesn't begin until 13 years later... One sunny afternoon in Panama City, Florida, we passed each other at a local, well known super store. Tim was in town visiting family and I was on a shopping trip with my best friend. I recognized him from high school but neither of us spoke and just kept walking. Unbeknownst to me...until 3 days later..I had a message in my inbox on social media that was hidden away. I stumbled upon it and saw it was from him telling me that he had seen me and we should've said hi. After several attempts to meet up with me when he was in town, I finally conceded. I'm so thankful for his persistence to hang out with me or I could've missed out on this amazing man! Our relationship was long distance from day one, with him living in Montgomery and me being in Panama City. But despite the distance, we made it work and matched each other's efforts to visit each other often. After 11 months of living 3 hours away from each other, we both accepted great jobs and moved to Spanish Fort, AL - where we currently reside. The rest is yet to come but I am so excited to spend the rest of my life next to him!

New Opportunities

I think it’s safe to say that we had the opportunity to meet many times but we didn’t. Kristin caught my eye while I was home in Panama City visiting my family and friends. She was with her roommate at the time, and we passed each other walking in the parking lot of Walmart. Of course I was too shy to say anything in person, so I took to social media. Let it be known that she knew who I was because over a year prior to the Walmart incident, she came to my workplace with a friend of hers. So I reached out on social media and she did not reply. I didn’t give up though. With me coming back to PC pretty regularly I reached out to Kristin just about every trip which was roughly 4 times. She finally agreed to getting a drink at a local hole in the wall bar. The rest was history. We started officially dating after that on my 31st birthday, June 16, 2017. At the time I was so unhappy with my job, Kristin provided me with something so great to look forward to. She visited me in Montgomery a few times, but I knew that’s not where I wanted to bring her to live and eventually raise a family so I started looking for a new job. In May 2018 I started a position with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office in south Alabama. I couldn’t be happier with the choice I made, besides being persistent with Kristin, of course. The new job meant new opportunities and a chance to be happy with my job again. Kristin joined me a couple weeks later and it’s been the best time of my life so far. I look forward to everything that makes a marriage, because I have found my other half.
