We met on July 31, 2021 at Oak Glen United Reformed Church in Lansing, IL. We were on a missions trip with our churches for the week. It was a big group of teenagers from various churches who were there to service projects throughout the upcoming week. Although we never got to work together, we hung out before and after the work hours and go to know each other a bit. We didn’t see each other for 4 months afterwards, but we FaceTimed and messaged each other while we were back home. He came to visit in December 2021, and we started dating in January 2022.
