Bride
Forrest grew up just up the mountain from the wedding venue, in Sewanee, TN. After attending undergrad at Vanderbilt University, she decided to stick close to her hometown, and took a job as a Special Agent with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in Nashville. And it's a good thing she did, since she met Tim through a mutual friend in Nashville! She has since completed her Masters degree in Cybersecurity at Johns Hopkins University, become a dedicated dog mom to Uchi and Daisy Bucklew, and cannot wait to continue her life together with Tim.
Groom
Tim grew up in southern Kentucky with two brothers and his sister. He's done many different things in his life, from having an abortive first try at college, to farming, to being a Marine, to finally completing college and becoming a mechanical engineer. He's one of the kindest, smartest, and most thoughtful men you will ever meet, although if you call him any of these things he'll just respond "Oh, I don't know about that."
Maid of Honor
Charlotte and I have been friends since we were wee tiny children. People used to think we were sister's, since they saw us together so often! Even though Charlotte has braved the great white tundra of Wisconsin, the distance doesn't make us any less family. Charlotte is an incredible actress, dancer, seamstress, and all around incredible woman. In case you can't tell, I'm kind of proud of her!
Maid of Honor
I met Maggie when my brother hit her on the head with a softball (accidentally.) The more we've gotten close through the years, the more this origin story for our friendship seems appropriate! In addition to being a math genius, Maggie is an incredibly talented writer and artist. She's also one of the funniest people I know, and the toughest softie I think I've ever met!
Maid of Honor
Kelsay gets the distinction of being the newest friend in my Maids of honor, but that doesn't make her any less family! After living together for 3 years, we're certainly incredibly close. Kelsay and I met through our time at Vanderbilt, and have only gotten closer ever since, despite her moving to Huntsville for a super cool NASA job. Kelsay is one of the smartest and humble people I've ever met, and I'm so glad she's going to be involved in my big day!
Maid of Honor
I met Melissa when we were both middle school nerds in an Astronomy summer class. We've both changed and grown since then (thank goodness) but our friendship has remained constant! We even got to live together for a year in college. It's not surprising that we were able to stay friends, because Melissa is one of the most loyal and trustworthy people I know. She's always there for moral support, honest advice, or just a fun friendship outing!
Maid of Honor
Cassie and I met in college while working together at the dining hall, and the rest is history. We've been coworkers, suite-mates, Brothers, and our own support group for wedding planning. Thankfully, she's been in Nashville getting her PhD in Epidemiology, so we haven't moved far apart! She's one of the most fun people to spend time with, whether it's talking to her about a topic she's an expert on (which ranges from beer, HIV, and 5SOS) or watching her "penguin" over something she's excited about.
Dog of Honor
Daisy is the best girl ever. She's been my best furry friend since we adopted her in March of 2021. She wormed her precious little way into our hearts, despite being a trouble maker who's too smart for her own good. She loves her big brother Uchiki, her daddy Tim, but most of all, Mama Forrest.
Groomsman
Willie is my older brother, and it's easy to tell after seeing us together for more than a minute or two. Aside from just looking alike, we have almost identical senses of humor. He has the honor of being my oldest friend, and I am lucky to have him as a brother.
Groomsman
Danny is my younger brother. He's a man of many talents, an excellent chef who is also responsible for sparking my love of disc golf (and providing most of the second-hand discs that I use.) Even though he's always busy with furthering his restaurants and culinary career, Danny is always there to support me when I need him.
Groomsman
Darren isn't technically my brother, but he may as well be. Ever since meeting in college we've been each other's biggest supports. Whether it's moral support during tough times, a place to store our belongings as we move around the South, or just someone with the same sense of humor to get out of breath laughing with, Darren makes for an excellent third brother.
Groomsman
Kent is more than just my brother-in-law, he is a close friend and great addition to my family. Despite being the farthest away of all of my brothers by being out in Kansas, we still make time to see each other as much as possible. He's a great father of six, a wonderful husband, and the best brother-in-law I could ask for.
Groomsman
Wilson is Forrest's older brother. The two of them are very different in many ways: Wilson majored in Art and English in college and Forrest in Computer Science, Forrest is a G-man and Wilson pushes for a socialist revolution, etc. But these (somewhat tongue-in-cheek) differences have never pulled them apart. Their 2-hour phone calls are a testament to how close they are, and we're so excited to have him as a part of our wedding celebration!
Groomsdog
Forrest and Tim got Uchiki together in June of 2019. He took to Tim instantly, but he's now fully bonded with his mom too! After a rough start to life, he's grown into the best possible dog, with the best possible life. Especially because his dad spoils him rotten....
