A fairly new and unknown band at the time, Wallows, was performing at The House of Blues. Holly and Forrest’s beloved, mutual friend and lovely bridesmaid, Amanda, unintentionally set them up when Forrest decided to go to the show with a friend and meet up with Amanda (and Holly). Holly had no idea they would be meeting anyone else there otherwise, she may have been weary of going in the first place. Amanda used her best judgement and Holly went along with it (thanks Amanda). As the girls sat in their seats excited for the pre show performers, Forrest excitedly greeted Amanda and introduced his friend, Bryan. Meanwhile, Holly thought he was just a very friendly stranger sitting in the seats next to them not realizing they actually knew each other. As they all exchanged greetings, Holly mistakenly heard Forrest’s name as Borris… Amanda was between them, it was very loud, easy mistake to make. The show was great, and Borris bought Holly and Amanda a drink (super nice stranger right??!!) Just kidding, at this point there was the awareness that Amanda and Borris had planned to meet up and bring their friends. Throughout the show, Holly was asking Amanda questions about the cute guy sitting next to her, never referring to him by his name in case his name wasn’t Borris, good judgement call on Holly’s part. Amanda thankfully stated his name as Forrest so Holly did not have to keep wondering if this mysterious cute boy was actually named Borris. Anyways, Holly couldn’t refrain from telling Amanda how cute she thought FORREST was during the rest of the show. Afterwards, when the group was getting ready to leave, they all decided to visit the merch table, get Amanda a vinyl and try to get a picture with the opening band. Forrest got a picture, see below, and they planned the trip home. Amanda was encouraging Holly to go for it since Forrest could be shy, and Holly was so nervous. While walking to Forrest’s car, Amanda and Holly worked up the grand plan for Holly to sit in the front seat, and to drop Amanda off first. Holly called shotgun and one can assume his friend was a little annoyed (Sorry, Bryan). After Amanda was dropped off, Forrest, Bryan, and Holly sat and talked for a while which led Forrest and Holly to follow each other on Instagram where they started talking everyday. They went on their first date the next weekend and quickly knew they were soul mates. Wallows has remained such a special band for them. They even named their first pet, a leopard gecko after them! Thank goodness for that one night at the rock show, Wallows, Amanda, and Bryan for letting Holly take shotgun. Now the rest is history!

They spent a lot of time at coffee shops, concerts, the movies, and eventually got their first apartment together. After some time, they found a beautiful house in Lorain, Ohio and have made it their home. They have filled it with lots of love, home projects, and their beloved pets, Phoebe, Neptune, Honey, Reggie, and Wallow.

Holly said yes. It is one of the happiest days of their lives.
