We’re getting married!

So the proposal...that's what everyone wants to hear about right?! Let's just start with I had no clue that our trip to Arizona would conclude in me becoming a fiance! We hopped on a plane and flew out April 7th. Derrick told me to be ready for a wonderful dinner experience at the Wrigley Mansion that evening so I got all dolled up and was happy to spend a wonderful evening with the man I love. We talked like normal along the way, he didn't even show any signs of being nervous! We pulled up to the mansion and the views were breath taking. The sheer size of the mansion and its many balconies were incredible. Hor d'oeuvres were served by butlers all over the mansion...everything tasted amazing by the way. We enjoyed walking all around taking pictures. There was a photographer who kept asking to take pictures of us and I thought it was just because we looked so nice we would be on the company website haha! Little did I know....that evening we sat down to a wonderful plated dinner with a group of others when a woman approached and sat at our table and began telling us about how pretty the views were after sundown. Derrick stood up and asked me to come take photos with him, he walked me up the winding stairs of the mansion as I approached the intimate balcony I could see red rose petals all over the ground and I still had no clue what was happening! I walked out unto the balcony where there awaited champagne on ice with two glasses. In that moment I felt so loved and special and before I could think anything else, I turned around to Derrick on one knee with a ring box (and ring haha) in hand asking me to be his wife. I remember taking a step back in shock and of course without hesitation I SAID YES! The photographers were there for every second and we continued into the night with photos, smiles and congratulations from everyone around. It was everything I could have ever dreamed it to be. Every single moment was a fairy tale.
