He swiped right. She swiped right. There was a little in-app chatting (Bumble, not Tinder). There was a first date with bourbon cocktails and a very loud jazz ensemble at the Good Lion on State Street in Santa Barbara. The date moved to the Pickle Room on Canon Perdido where there was a little less noise, but more bourbon, and a great burger. We also realized that we lived one block away from each other. When you have two very busy people, proximity in dating is a plus. Clearly, things went well from there. We can still be found on Date Night at the Good Lion and the Pickle Room.

Tiffany was flying back from her brother's wedding in the Seattle area, and landing in LA at 10:00 p.m. Aaron was in Santa Barbara, and had picked up the keys to the new house earlier that day. He convinced Tiffany to drive straight from Burbank to the new house so they could have a first walk-through together, since he was heading out to work the next morning. After being up and traveling for 20 hours, Tiffany arrived at the Foothill House a little tired and clueless. There was no furniture in the house and there was no food in the fridge, but the view was amazing and there was mail on the counter- including a box package with Tiffany's name on it. A little confused (she hadn't ordered anything, the box wasn't from Amazon, and the label said it was from Anthony Hopkins) Tiffany opened it up to find another box with a ring inside. There may have been tears from both Aaron and Tiffany, as well as lots of joy. She said yes.
