How many people can say they met their future spouse outside of a college bar? Well that's what happened between Tanzel and Jada. It was Jada's first month of college and she was going out like any new freshman would do. On September 20th she went to a bar called "The Boot" on Tulane University's campus and hung outside with a couple of friends. Tanzel ends up walking up and talking to one of their mutual friends. They eventually end up talking and joking with each other the rest of the night. They exchange numbers and end up hanging out again a couple days later and have been inseparable since. They began their official relationship on July 6,2015
It started off as a normal Sunday for the couple. They went to church, ran a couple errands, and then went to Jada's mom's house for their annual "Soul Food Sunday." Soul Food Sunday is a tradition where they'll celebrate everyone in the family birthdays while having a big feast/party. All of Jada's family was there and even a couple of Tanzel's friends and family came. Everyone was talking, dancing, and enjoying themselves. About an hour into the party, Jada's friend tells her she has something to talk to her about, so the two of them go upstairs to talk somewhere quiet. While Jada is upstairs Tanzel and Jada's mom tell everyone to go outside (some people at the party actually didn't even know what was going on.) Once everyone is outside, Tanzel texts Jada's friend that they are ready for them to come down. Jada and her friend end up walking downstairs to an empty house, but Jada being oblivious didn't think nothing of it. As Jada walks outside she sees everyone making a circle around Tanzel and there is a saxophone player playing their song, Halfway by S8ighty. The circle then opens and Jada walks to Tanzel crying tears of joy. Tanzel proceeds to profess his love for Jada and then asks, "Jada Racham Woolfolk, Will you Marry Me?" And of course SHE SAYS YES!
