One bright and sunny afternoon, we met at a baseball field just two people who had no idea their lives were about to change. Michael was there helping a friend warm up before a game, and Kiara showed up with snacks, sunscreen, and absolutely no plans to fall for anyone that day. But fate had a different idea. A few glances turned into a few smiles. A simple “Hey, need some water?” turned into a conversation that lasted through the entire practice. And as the sun dipped lower, it became clear that this wasn’t just an easy connection it was something rare. From the very beginning, Michael quite literally rose to the occasion. With his logical thinking, charm, dedication, determination, and genuine love for Kiara, he showed her exactly the kind of partner he was and the kind of future they could build together. What started as a quiet afternoon at the field became the beginning of everything. Sometimes love arrives when you least expect it… and sometimes it walks right up to you on the pitcher’s mound.

In one of the hardest seasons of our lives, when everything around us felt uncertain and shadows seemed to grow longer by the day, we began searching for something deeper than our own strength. It was in that darkness that we found God together. We learned to pray side by side, sometimes with tears, sometimes with silence, always with hope. We held onto the reminder that “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). Slowly, we felt the weight lift, not because life suddenly became easy, but because we were no longer carrying it alone. As we grew in faith, we also grew closer to each other. We began to understand what it truly means that “love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” (1 Corinthians 13:7). God wasn’t just mending our hearts; He was shaping our future. Through prayer, patience, and grace, we discovered that even the darkest seasons can lead to the brightest beginnings. We found comfort in the promise that “though we walk through the valley, we will fear no evil, for God is with us” (Psalm 23:4). Finding God together strengthened our love, anchored our purpose, and prepared us for forever.
