Our love story began in the most unexpected way. Drew and I first met in middle school, where we lived in the same neighborhood and even rode the same bus to school. Back then, he liked to pick on me (typical middle school antics, right?), and we almost dated for about five seconds—those fleeting moments that make you smile when you look back. But life had other plans for us. After high school, our paths diverged. Drew moved to Colorado, and I stayed in Tennessee. The years passed, and we went on with our lives, but I would still think back to those awkward teenage days and remember Drew. Fast forward ten years. By chance, we reconnected in Chattanooga. Drew had come back to town for a visit, and it didn’t take long for us to pick up right where we left off. We spent weeks together, talking, laughing, and discovering how much we had changed—and yet, how much we still had in common. It didn’t take long for us to fall for each other—hard and fast. We both knew this could be something really special. As our relationship deepened, Drew made a big decision: he moved back to Tennessee to see if what we had was truly something worth pursuing. And it was. Our connection was undeniable. We quickly became best friends, partners, and soulmates. We both knew, from the very start, that we were meant to be. On November 2nd, 2024 Drew proposed to me at a place that holds a special piece of his heart—his family’s homeplace. The moment was intimate, meaningful, and perfectly "us." I said yes, of course, and we couldn’t be more excited to start this next chapter of our lives together. We can't wait to see what the future holds, but one thing we know for sure: this is just the beginning of a beautiful journey with the best friend—and love of my life—I’ve always dreamed of.
