In January of 2015, I started my first day at my new security job working in Providence hospital evening shift. The first person I met was my supervisor, Dalonte. From there, he introducedme to our other coworkers. Apparently I, was a hot topic that evening and everyone was talking about and/or had interest in this new cute a** security officer. At some point through out that shift, Dalonte gave me his phone number "just incase I needed anything work related". He then pulled another officer to the side and asked her to slide him in lol. When that officer came to talk to me about it, it was funniest thing. She made it seem like he was this shy man and scared to make a move, spite of how I already witness him clown around with everyone else throughout our whole shift. Anyways, when we got off work that evening, I decided to text him teasing about how he tried to play the "shy boy" role, confirmed I was single, and the rest is pretty much history!!

We traveled to Punta Cana for both of our birthdays in January of 2025. When we arrived there 1/27/25, we checked in at Lopesan Costa Bavaro resort. The bell boy escorted us to our room and wished us well on duration of the trip. I noticed Dalonte acting really weird and even started sweating profusely LOL. I kinda ignored those signs, and was touring our room. I went outside to our swim up patio and was taking in the views. When I came back into the room, there he was on one knee!! As I froze in space, he began his speech. In complete shock, I stood there jaw to the ground lol. Of course, this was an easy YES!
