From a whirlwind workplace romance to building their lives together. Alex was the IT who would come to fix Brittany's department's network problems and Brittany was the admin who would let him into the office and direct him to any issues at hand. Alex was shy and reserved but always sharp and respectful- not to mention Brittany thought he was very handsome, and particularly she loved the way he would match his socks to his dress pants. Brittany was funny and always willing to lend a helping hand- not to mention Alex thought she was beautiful. Although both Brittany and Alex were interested neither knew how to take the first step. When Brittany's co-workers decided they needed to take matters into their own hands to find out if Alex was available and how to plot their "accidental meeting" outside of work. But before they could put their plan into effect Alex beat them to the punch. At exactly 4:45 pm on a Friday, Alex took his shot and called Brittany's extension under the guise of "taking their dogs to the park" together and asked for her number. It wasn't a few days after texting that their first date was planned and not shortly thereafter their second and third. Before a month was up they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. After one year of pure bliss- traveling, camping, and exploring the state and another year of surviving a lockdown together, Alex proposed. To set the scene it was a movie-worthy backdrop. On the balcony of a log cabin in the mountains of Tenessee with snow drifting to about and hot chocolate with marshmallows ready nearby. Alex being the nerd that he is brought his drone out to "take some pictures" but as he held Brittany close and began confessing his love and how special of a woman she was and how he couldn't imagine doing life with anyone else his ruse started to fade. As he got down on one knee and pulled out a ring box while the snow gently fell around the two, she said "Are you for real? yes!" From their first date, both knew it was the start of something special. Never did they imagine how special of a relationship it would be. Within two years of dating, they became engaged, bought a house, and had a beautiful baby boy. Each knowing that this is the type of love that you are lucky to ever experience. He her rock pushing her through the toughest and darkest moments. She his support, supporting his dreams and always making sure he knows how important, smart, and powerful he is.
