Who would've thought back in January 2019, at a coffeeshop open mic, a quick exchange of "good job!" and "do you have Instagram?" would foreshadow the future of two people. It would be a year and a pandemic before their paths crossed again on the worship team at Cornerstone Church in November 2020. Thanks to Caleb's sweet patience, a slow friendship developed until November 2021 when Caleb (FINALLY) got the courage to follow through on the moves and ask the girl out. Janae had finally reached the other side of what was a difficult year. She felt there could be something special ahead with Caleb, but after a couple weeks, she pressed pause to ensure she was ready. Two weeks later, not wanting to miss her chance, she made her move! She asked Caleb to play guitar on a Christmas gig, then gave him a thank you card asking him out for another date! On Christmas Eve, they officially started their new relationship. They spent the day together practicing and leading the Christmas Eve services at Cornerstone Church in Scottsdale. Before dropping off Janae, while singing "Love me like you do", Caleb locked her in. They both felt they were finally understood, genuinely happy, and that this would be the best relationship they ever had! It didn't take long before they both realized this was "it". On July 4th Caleb got down on one knee (rockin his American flag pants) and asked Janae to marry him! :) The Lord's timing is perfect. They couldn't be more grateful and in awe of the journey so far! They're excited to begin their life together and to celebrate with their loved ones!
