Riley and Sierra crossed paths numerous times before officially meeting each other. On September 23rd, 2017, Sierra walked into a party and found out that Riley was not only really good at Connect Four, he was having a really bad time playing Connect Four that night and he had good taste in beers. A few days had passed from their initial meeting when Sierra received a message from Riley reintroducing himself and showed interest in how Sierra’s days have been. They both talked for a while and ended up setting their first date for later that week. On September 29th, the pair took a memorable stroll around Final Friday art exhibitions including a few right on Commerce St. The two bonded and enjoyed their time together and became a couple a month later. Knowing that Riley had accepted an internship in Washington, DC, Sierra and Riley did everything they could to uplift, love and encourage each other no matter the distance. During this time, they both realized that they could be lifelong partners. A few years later after distance, injuries, hardships and a global pandemic, Riley made it official in asking Sierra to marry him on June 20th, 2020.
