Like all great love stories, ours began with a dinner date and a round of mini golf. We first met a little over two years ago and had our very first date at Cooper’s Hawk, followed by a second date filled with laughs and light-hearted competition at Monster Mini Golf. While our paths briefly went separate ways after that, fate (and a well-timed text from Connor) brought us back together. Connor had reached out just to check in—but that message quickly turned into conversations that felt effortless, full of warmth and familiarity. We originally told ourselves we’d just be friends, but it didn’t take long for us to realize that what we had was something much deeper. We fell for each other fast, and it’s safe to say—we’ve been inseparable ever since. From murder mystery dinners and puppy yoga, to magic shows and all kinds of spontaneous adventures, our time together has been filled with fun, laughter, and an unshakable sense that we’d found our forever person. Just three months into dating (yes, three!), we both knew we didn’t want to wait. Connor, ever the romantic, asked my parents for their blessing and began planning a proposal that I’ll never forget. Knowing how much Jessica loved a particular venue, we made plans to tour it, hoping it might be available during the popular wedding month we had in mind. The night before, Connor mentioned wanting to dress up and take a cute photo at the venue—nothing suspicious there! He even casually dropped that the ring wouldn’t be ready for 6–8 more weeks. On the day of the tour, Jessica's mom kept stalling, which, in hindsight, makes a lot more sense now. When Jessica finally arrived at the venue, she saw Connor waiting at the back with their two dogs, both wearing bandanas that read, “Will you marry Connor?” Jessica's uncle was hidden in the bushes capturing every moment, and Jessica stood there completely shocked—in the best way. We toured the venue right after (because, priorities!), but we were both so giddy and overwhelmed with joy that we could barely focus. That day was a blur of excitement and love, and we couldn’t stop smiling. Now, here we are—planning the day we get to say “I do” in front of all the people who have cheered us on along the way. We are so grateful and can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with you!
