We first met at a mutual friend’s 30th birthday party. Mark and I hit it off right away, and I could tell he was interested. As we chatted, I started to wonder why he hadn’t asked for my number yet. So, I casually mentioned that I would be leaving soon, hoping to give him a little nudge. Mark asked why I was leaving so early, and we ended up talking for a while longer. Then, he excused himself for a bit, and after some time passed, I decided to head home, thinking maybe I had misread things. But as it turned out, after I left, Mark had actually been looking for me. Our friend later told me he had asked where I went, surprised to hear I had already gone. When I found out, I asked our friend to give him my number. He called, and that’s when our amazing journey began.
After a long, rainy drive, I finally reached the airport to pick him up. On our way back, we decided to stop for some food before heading into the house. When we finally got back to his place, we cozied up on the couch, just happy to be together. Then, out of nowhere, he looked at me with this deep, loving gaze and said, "I'm going to propose to you now." In one graceful motion, he got down on one knee, and said softly "I’m ready to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" My heart was racing, and I was caught between total shock and pure joy. All I could say at first was, "Aww babe," as he gently slid the ring onto my finger. But then he paused and whispered, "You didn’t say yes." I laughed and quickly said, "Yes!" It was such an incredible moment!
