We prayed

Two people who had thought true love just wasn’t made for them but still prayed daily to have that one true love in life. Two people raised by loving parents and a value of family prayed to find that in a husband/wife. Two people who prayed to have that loving, faithful, respect, honor, and a best friend in a relationship. June 2017 David and Amanda found this and so much more than even prayed for!

How We Met

July 3, 2017 Our First Date

June 2017 we met online, Match.com, and talked for weeks before our first date on July 3, 2017. The date was full of laughter! From David forgetting his wallet in the truck and Amanda paying because she would let him walk out to the garage to get his wallet. To Putt-Putt golf with a missing ball in the water. To even a trip to the Pet Store because Amanda had to get Lulu and Winston food. It went so well that July 4 we found ourselves on our second date in Harper Ferry.

The Proposal

June 25, 2018

Amanda had a favorite spot that overlooked Page County. It was a place that when she was going through life pains that she would visit and take time to meditate and pray. Dave knew this was that spot he wanted to propose to Amanda. He had been trying to get Amanda to her favorite spot for weeks but between her work and dodging the rain, it was making it difficult for the weather had to be perfect to see the views. He wasn't even sure how to get to this spot and knew he needed her to take him there. One day Amanda came home and told David she was going to her moms to swim and need a break from work! The weather was perfect and he knew the views would be great! So as Amanda got ready he grabbed the ring. He asked if they could take the back way to her mothers home and go by the overlook but Amanda said maybe on the way home. After leaving the pool David asked again. So Amanda showed him the way. Once to the spot, they got out and David realized that Amanda had pool hair all pulled back, no make-up, and old comfy clothes on. She looked beautiful in his eyes but scared she would not want to be proposed to dress like this but he knew it was the perfect day so better now than later. David's heart was beating so hard Amanda kept asking him if he was okay and all David kept saying is I don't want to ever lose you. David got down on one knee and asked Amanda to spend the rest of her life with him! It couldn't have been more perfect of a proposal for two people stripped down to who they are were standing in front of each other and all that matter was the love they have.
