As I walked down the hallway of the gym and saw Fasika for the first time, time seemed to freeze. I could literally feel my heart beating out of my chest — not in fear, but in awe. In that moment, God moved on my heart and made it clear that this encounter was orchestrated by His design. Despite how unforgettable that moment was, I allowed my season of isolation to let that precious opportunity pass by…not just once but two more times. By the third encounter, it became irresistible, and I finally did what should’ve been done the very first time and now the spark has started a flame. Since then, we’ve spent months building a sincere friendship while God prepared our hearts to make our relationship official in October 2024. Bound by a shared love for faith, travel, and generosity, we discovered not only love, but purpose in one another. From Chris taking me on an amazing first date at a Latin restaurant to exploring the world together, our love has continued to grow with every experience we share.
