Despite common belief, the best love stories don't always come from a movie or book. Sometimes, they involve everyday people whose romance can grow into something beyond their wildest imagination. Well, we'd think our story was unbelievable had we not lived through it lol! We met November, 1999 while Terrence was working as a student worker in our high schools library. Terrence seemed pretty shy, but we'd soon realize he's the total opposite. After dating or liking each other (because Shanikka's mom was not having it lol)for the next several months, Terrence graduated and went away with the USMC. Life went on for nearly a decade for us, but we eventually reconnected. Life has taken us on so many twists and turns, but we stand as a perfect example for God's second chances, grace & mercy. We must always give God all glory for who he has been in our lives and what he has done in our relationship.
