Hop on a ferry from San Feliciano and visit Polvese, the largest of the three islands dotting the placid waters of Lake Trasimeno. In just 10 minutes, youโll feel like youโre in a green paradise surrounded by wildlife, lush oak woodlands, & millenary olive groves. Check the ferry timetable to plan your visit. The island was first inhabited by the Romans, as evident from the remains of opus reticulatum in the small church of San Giuliano. Itโs guarded by a big 15th-century fortress, whose perimeter walls are all thatโs left. One of the special things that Tuscany offers is several thermal baths that come from natural hot springs. At the base is a wider pool where you can bathe at about 48ยฐC. Go early in the morning because it on a hot summer day it is cooler in the morning hours. People say that these natural thermal baths have healing power. July 2023, we explored the captivating town of Bonifacio, perched atop the dramatic cliffs of Corsica, France. The experience was nothing short of amazing as we marveled at the breathtaking beauty of this coastal gem. The town's ancient citadel, narrow cobblestone streets, & stunning views over the turquoise Mediterranean waters. Bonifacio is a destination that effortlessly combines history & natural splendor, making it a must-visit for any traveler seeking a truly remarkable & picturesque adventure. An honorable mention since it is only an one hour ferry ride to Sardinia! ๐๐ผ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ด๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ: Best way to get here is via an Intโl airport & mainly via a connecting flight. We traveled here by flying to Paris first, stayed for one night, then flew to Corsica for a few days, & took a one hour ferry to Sardinia for another 5 days. One of our favorite trips!
