Angie and Paul originally crossed paths as members of Fogo Na Roupa, a Brazilian Carnaval dance and percussion company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The group can get pretty big during SF Carnaval season, so they didn't know each other at first. Angie is a dancer and would go to class regularly to do what she loves while working on her craft. Paul would be one of the drummers providing the soundtrack and energy that kept class moving. After a few months Paul began to really take notice of Angie. He could tell that dancing was her happy place (still is) and was drawn to seeing how joyful she was while moving down the line (still am). Eventually, he worked up the courage to approach her after class one day at the water fountain. Neither can remember exactly what he said, but it must have been sweet, funny, and charming because, well, clearly it worked out ;). The two spent the next few weeks lightly getting to know each other until Angie took the first step and asked Paul out on a date. They went to dinner and a movie and quickly realized how much they enjoyed spending time together. As soon as they could they started setting up regular dates and a love connection began to blossom. To this day there is still some debate over who asked who to officially be their boyfriend/girlfriend. Ask either side of the couple and you'll get different answers. While we may never know for sure, what we do know is that this couple was building the foundation that would one day lead to them wanting to spend their lives together. Angie and Paul are each other's best friends, travel partners, forever dinner dates, dog co-parents, and more. They still regularly attend Fogo classes and enjoy being able to perform together as well. They care for their friends and family deeply and are looking forward to celebrating the love they have for each with the people that mean the most in their lives.

Angie y Paul se conocieron originalmente como miembros de Fogo Na Roupa, un grupo de percusión y danza de Carnaval Brasileño con sede en el Área de la Bahía de San Francisco. El numero de integrantes del grupo puede crecer bastante durante la temporada del Carnaval de SF, por lo que al principio no se conocían. Angie es bailarina y asistía a clase regularmente para hacer lo que ama mientras trabajaba en su oficio. Paul sería uno de los bateristas que proporcionaría el sonido y la energía que mantendría la clase en movimiento. Después de unos meses, Paul empezó a fijarse realmente en Angie. Se dio cuenta de que bailar era su lugar feliz de ella (y todavía lo es) y se sintió atraído al ver la alegre mientras avanzaba por la línea (y todavía sigue). Eventualmente, tuvo el coraje para acercarse a ella un día después de clase en la fuente de agua. Ninguno puede recordar exactamente lo que dijo, pero debe haber sido dulce, divertido y encantador porque, bueno, claramente funcionó ;). Los dos pasaron las siguientes semanas conociéndose un poco hasta que Angie dio el primer paso y le pidió a Paul una cita. Fueron a cenar y al cine y rápidamente se dieron cuenta de lo mucho que disfrutaban pasar tiempo juntos. Tan pronto como pudieron, comenzaron a establecer citas regulares y una conexión amorosa comenzó a florecer. Hasta el día de hoy, todavía hay cierto debate sobre quién preguntó quién sería oficialmente su novio/novia. Pregunte a cualquier lado de la pareja y obtendrá diferentes respuestas. Si bien es posible que nunca lo sepamos con certeza, lo que sí sabemos es que esta pareja estaba construyendo los cimientos que algún día los llevaría a querer pasar la vida juntos. Angie y Paul son mejores amigos, compañeros de viaje, citas para cenar para siempre, co-padres de Draco, y más. Todavía asisten regularmente a las clases de Fogo y disfrutan poder continuar bailar y tocar juntos. Se preocupan profundamente por sus amigos y familiares y esperan celebrar el amor que sienten por cada uno con las personas que más significan en sus vidas.
