Their story starts senior year of undergrad & the year was 2015. Amy was at Eau Claire & Jonathan was at La Crosse. They met in March at a conference in Chicago, Jonathan was giving a presentation & Amy was presenting a poster. Although he tried, with no avail, Jonathan was unable to woo Amy through multiple attempts. The story doesn't end here... Fast forward to Oct, Jonathan is in Bloomington & Amy is in Chadron. Jonathan took one more shot with the elusive Amy who got away. After months of conversations, Amy took the leap to fly to him for spring break. It was then they became official, although many say it was official long before... Amy & Jonathan's journey continued distantly as they both finished school. They visited each other as often as two graduate students can. Following graduation, the job hunt led Jonathan to Birmingham & Amy followed suit. Birmingham holds a special place in their hearts as this was the first time they were in the same city, however this only lasted a short 18 months... Amy began her Physician Assistant (PA) school journey as a Clinical Assistant in Minneapolis & Jonathan finished out his time at UAB before starting Physical Therapy (PT) school at UW-Madison. They again were apart but longing for a time when they could be in the same city again... On a chilly weekend in Nov, Amy thought she was visiting Madison for a football game, but little did she know there were other plans. On the trip home, they stopped at Ski Hi for apples & a tour. Out at the pond, Jonathan surprised Amy and got down on one knee & she said "Are you serious?" followed quickly by "YES!" They were able to share the moment with loved ones & their journey to marriage started to take form... Jonathan continued his schooling & Amy moved to Atlanta, creating distance yet again between the two. They decided on a vision, as always, were on the same page with their desire to get married in MN on Aug 6, 2022 where their love journey will continue, forever and alwise.
