Wedding Party

Meet the dream team of family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us. Laura's bridal party are on the left and Juliette's party are on the right.

Carol Grill

Mother of the Bride

My mom was the ultimate mom. Forget your instrument? She'll drop it off at school. Up late writing a paper? She'll make you a snack, then stay up to edit the paper when you're done. Want to invite ALL the girls in your class to a sleepover? She'll find enough tents for everyone and make breakfast in the morning. My mom is always willing to help and always willing to listen. You might say my mom loves being a mom. Even as we've grown up, my mom finds ways to be a mom... sending care packages to us and our roommates or picking up neighborhood kids from school when they're sick. She is kind, generous, and patient... all things that I try to be. I am so grateful to be able to see my parents as often as I do! It doesn't matter where we meet up because as they say, home is where the "mom' is : ) Mount Prospect, IL

Jennifer Parmenter

Mother of the Bride

Growing up, my mom was the one doing it all— starting a jewelry business, taking charge in the Parent Teacher Organization, and planning epic birthday parties for her three little girls in Newton, MA. All while raising our golden retriever puppy, Wilbur (rest in peace). She filled the house with sound: Arcade Fire blasting on the kitchen sound system, cackling with laughter watching SNL, or the sewing machine thrumming as she worked on her next big costume event. She showed me how to be unabashedly silly, how to bake, and how to find beauty in nature. We still spend most weekends together on their property in NH with new puppy Stella (AKA little love muffin) exploring the woods or playing board games by the fire. Wilton, NH

Chuck Grill

Father of the Bride

I am my father's daughter. A kid at heart, my dad was always the first to ride the roller coaster or jump off the diving board. He showed us that anything and everything can be interesting. Once, my dad brought his dirt-covered shoes back from a trip to Brazil, just to show us how the clay in their soil makes it a different color than our own. Along with all the adventure and fun, he showed by example how to work hard and always try your best. I owe the successes I've had in my life to this "work hard but make it fun" philosophy. I may also have inherited from him the corresponding trait of not sleeping enough. My dad is one of the smartest and most generous people I know, perfect for calling with a question about your car and then asking for a loan to help pay it off : ) Hopefully those days are behind me! I'm one lucky girl. Mount Prospect, IL

David Parmenter

Father of the Bride

When he wasn't walking Wilbur or reading Lord of the Rings to his three little girls, I watched my dad fill his time with books, games, music, bikes, computers, travel, and vintage events. I'll never forget how it felt to be little and explore the office of his old tech company employer. We would be unleashed to play on the endless toys and explore the snack room. Lily, Madeleine, and I would roll on huge exercise balls and fling ourselves over and over again onto beanbags that we would pile up. My dad taught me how to ice skate, do sudoku puzzles, play Settlers of Catan, and make little pancakes (a family-favorite breakfast recipe). I am grateful to be able to spend so much time together in NH with the new love of his life, their Mini Aussie, Stella. Wilton, NH

Claire Raphaelson

Best Woman

Claire has been my best friend since I transferred to the Chicago College of Performing Arts in 2004. We met in the women's chorus and bonded over learning harmony parts to all of our favorite Indigo Girls songs. Claire is fully responsible for my love of coffee and sushi, and for that, I am forever grateful (and poorer). We've been together through thick and thin, relationship starts and relationship ends, ten knee surgeries combined, and I'll still drive to NYC for one night to spend time together. Claire will always be part of my family, and I couldn't get married without her by my side! Brooklyn, NY

Leah Budson

Maid of Honor

Leah has been a fixture in my life for as long as I can remember. She always tells the story of our first play date when we made Spin Art together. After I left her house, she said it was the most fun she had ever had and decided instantaneously that I was going to be her best friend. We started walking to elementary school together after her family moved to my neighborhood and have been best friends exploring the world together ever since. Along with Molly, the three of us have spent so many nights doing JP Licks runs, late-night drives, and game nights over pizza or Thai food. Philadelphia, PA — Moving back to Boston this year!

Tommy Grill

Bridesman

Tommy is the best dude I know and he just so happens to be my little brother. We've been a perfect pair since the very beginning, always choosing to be on each other's team. I can't think of a love of mine that isn't shared or influenced by my brother... music, sports, reading, creating, learning, and trying new things. We both wear our hearts on our sleeves, find immense joy in little things, and will certainly, never ever "grow up". We both get lost in our thoughts, always try our very best, and have found incredible women to balance us out : ) Even though I'm the older sibling, I feel lucky to have Tommy as a role model and teammate. Now if only we could both find dream jobs in the same state! Kalamazoo, MI

Madeleine Parmenter

Bridesmaid

Madeleine is the middle Parmenter daughter. Prior to 1997, Madeleine begged our parents for a younger sister and she got her wish when I was born! She hasn't left my side (at least in spirit) ever since. She was always a role model to me, so when she told me that I should apply to the college she was going to (Macalester College in St. Paul, MN), I applied early decision and never looked back. She's now attending the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR and spends her time doing tarot spreads, playing with her cat Lua, laughing with me over FaceTime, and exploring the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Portland, OR

Brad Harris

Bridesman

If Tommy and I are yin and yang, then Brad is the hyphen between us! My one and only first cousin, we grew up 15 minutes apart and have been partners in crime from the get-go. We spent countless hours of our childhoods adventuring together in Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Harry's backyard, the secret passages at St. Peter's, and the unlimited worlds inside the Lego box. Even though we live on opposite coasts, I am so lucky to be able to close that distance a few times a year and spend time with my second brother. San Diego, CA

Lily Parmenter

Bridesmaid

Lily is the eldest Parmenter daughter. She can be found with her head in the clouds, dreaming of fashion, BTS, traveling, baking, and sushi. Growing up, I looked up to Lily and adopted all of her favorite things as my own: her lucky number (29), her celebrity crush (Orlando Bloom), and computer games (Toontown or Harry Potter). We even ended up attending the same college! We are alike in that we are both empathic, loving, sensitive souls and I cherish any time I can spend with her (usually in fits of laughter). Minneapolis, MN

Matt Consul

Bridesman

I can very clearly recall my first memory of Matt. He had been recommended to play on my 2011 Laura Grill Band album. As I walked into the cabin we had rented for the session, a tall, lanky guy, holding a mandolin and wearing bright yellow smiley face pajama pants, came in for a hug. We clicked immediately and thousands of hugs later, you still would be hard-pressed to find two smilier people than when we're together! We are "brothers" in goofiness, music, football, frisbee, highs, and lows. I'll never need another violin/viola/mandolin/vocalist as long as I live! Portland, ME

Molly Dalzell

Bridesmaid

Molly and I became friends the second that we met, sitting on the floor of our shared kindergarten classroom stacking blocks. We grew up together and have loved and supported each other through every phase and haircut (I have so many pictures to prove it). In the first year and a half of the pandemic when we really weren't seeing anyone, Laura and I shared so many nights with Molly around the firepit outside my childhood home in Newton playing games. It more than slightly broke my heart when she moved to Miami to live with her wonderful partner, Mica— Still praying she moves back to New England one day. Miami, FL

Katie Seiler

Bridesmaid

I have to give credit where credit is due... Tommy was friends with Katie first. In my second year at New England Conservatory, my brother called to tell me that a friend of his was starting at NEC, and that I should befriend her because she was "talented and awesome". Happily, great minds think alike, and at that very moment, Katie was already on my couch with a glass of wine! We've been friends ever since - singing, traveling, and (mostly) laughing together. I'm so lucky to have a fantastic friendship like ours that is never defeated by distance or time! Brooklyn, NY

Sebastian Eising

Bridesman

Sebastian was one of the first friends that I made at Macalester. We never were too far from each other after that and ended up living in the same apartment building off-campus. We spent so many hours together over our college years: dancing at First Ave, studying on-campus, or snuggling up on the couch watching a Norwegian teen drama (Skam). Now he spends his time climbing the social ladder of the fine art world in Manhattan, NY, and looking very chic as he goes. Manhattan, NY
