We met at a serving opportunity with our church. We had been at other events before but hadn't "met" yet. Our first interaction was over a wrestling t-shirt. From there, interests began to grow from both sides. As the weeks passed, we were always "running into each other" at different events and a friendship formed. After about a month, Brandon asked for our first date.
The first date was simple, dinner and good conversation followed by bowling with friends. The night ended with both of us wanting a second date. It was planned for a week later, and the rest is history.
We were months into the relationship, and both of us were ready to spend the rest of our lives together. Brandon made his intentions clear the first time visiting her family in Iowa early on, so a proposal was on the horizon. Five months later, we traveled back to Iowa for Thanksgiving to spend time with Ariel's family. Brandon knew he would use this opportunity to get her parent's blessing and pop the question but was sneaky about the entire plan. Near the end of their visit, Ariel brought Brandon to her hometown square, and that is when he knew this was the perfect moment. Brandon got down on one knee with tears in his eyes and asked for her hand in marriage. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Texas!
