Yes, we ask our guests to dress in shades of orange, green, and earthy neutrals. Think seasonal tones like burnt orange, rust, terracotta, olive, sage, emerald, camel, tan, beige, taupe, and chocolate brown.
Ceremony: Please plan to arrive at Zion Baptist Church at 3:15pm, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm. No one will be admitted after 3:50pm. Reception: The reception begins at 6:00 PM, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you! we will be making our grand entrance at 6:45 PM. To help make this moment special, doors will be temporarily closed during our entrance. Once we’ve made our grand entrance, guests are welcome to return and join the celebration.
Yes, there will be parking available including handicap parking during both the wedding ceremony and the reception. Ceremony Parking: Guests are welcome to park in the church parking lot at Union Baptist Church. Additional parking is available in the lot across the street at the Boys & Girls Club, as well as along nearby street parking. There is also a parking lot located behind the church at the corner of 14th Street and Monroe Street for your convenience. Please allow a few extra minutes to park and walk to the venue. Reception Parking: Complimentary parking is available for all guests attending the reception at the Northfield Inn, Suites & Conference Center. The hotel offers a spacious on-site parking lot with convenient access to the main entrance. Guests staying overnight are welcome to leave their vehicles parked for the duration of their stay.
Yes! Dinner, drinks, and dessert will be served. There will be an open bar available for guest 21+ from 7:00pm-11:00pm
Yes, however there will be a professional photographer and the ceremony.
In order to accommodate our guest limit of 100, plus-ones will be extended exclusively to married guests and those with significant others. We appreciate your understanding. As we get closer to the wedding, we may need to make adjustments to the guest list to stay within that limit. We promise to keep you informed well in advance if any changes are necessary, and we truly appreciate your understanding.
Please RSVP by the deadline of July 31, 2026! Unfortunately, guests who haven’t RSVP’d cannot be admitted to the reception. We want to celebrate with everyone who’s able to join us, so make sure to secure your spot!
July 31, 2026 is the last day to reserve a room at the discounted rate and the last day to RSVP. There will be no exceptions passes deadline.
Dinner will be a buffet style including Fried Chicken, Homemade Lasagna with Meat Sauce (Served with Garlic Bread), Baked Salmon (Baked in a Lemon Butter Sauce). All Buffets to Include: Tossed Salad with Choice of Dressing or Caesar Salad, One Assorted Salads, Vegetable, Starch, Array of Desserts ,Rolls, Butter, Coffee, Ice Tea. Additionally, prior to wedding parties' arrival there will be a Welcoming Reception that will consist of a Charcuterie Board to Include: Hand Selected Cured Meats, Artisan Cheeses, Fresh Fruits, Pickled Vegetables, Sauces and Garnishes. Served with Assorted Crackers. For guest 21+ There will be an open bar serving premium alcohol, beer, and wine from 7pm-11pm.
For easiest access to the reception, please enter through the covered entrance with the awning located nearest Xochimilco Mexican Restaurant at Northfield Inn, Suites & Conference Center. This entrance leads directly into our celebration space. Guests may also enter through the Center II or Center III doors.
