Fire & Gasoline

Andrew was on active duty in the Navy, stationed in San Diego, CA. Andrew had gone on deployment and had returned to base. Upon his return, Andrew began living his life carefree with no expectations. Chelsea had just moved back to California from Florida. Chelsea began going through a divorce and started living life with no expectations other than trying to find the new normal. Fate just so had it that both Andrew and Chelsea ended up in the same area, having mutual friends, and both enjoyed being at bonfires with friends. Andrew and Chelsea began talking and becoming friends at the bonfires. At first it was just snap chatting each other, playing apple games together, then Andrew asked Chelsea to join him and their friend for dinner. Andrew and Chelsea went to dinner, they then went back to his barracks room for a drink. They talked and hung out for a while, as it got later they decided to turn on a movie. They didnt take long to pick movie, they decided to watch Hercules. They both expressed it was one of their favorite movies; this later became their movie and an inside thing for them. After the first night of them actually hanging out together, they both realized they enjoyed each others company. From that day on, they hung out everyday. If they werent hanging out, they were texting all day. As soon as they both realized they were having feelings towards each other, they both had their reservations. Andrew was getting out of the Navy and was set on returning home to Kentucky, Chelsea had two kids and wanted to keep their best interest in mind. Chelsea frequently took the kids to Seaworld, she decided on a whim to invite Andrew to join them. This trip went exceptionally well and while they both still had reservations decided to continue talking, even began talking about the future and the possibility of Chelsea and the kids joining Andrew in Kentucky. Andrew and Chelsea continued hanging out and going to bonfires while they were talking. Though they were just friends, things were different. Any time a guy would approach Chelsea and begin talking to her, Andrew would come from wherever he was, wrap his arm around her and say hey baby and whats up to whomever the guy was. Chelsea would also interrupt whatever conversation Andrew was having by coming up and giving him a kiss on the cheek. Theres no denying they were both wild and crazy, from dancing and being goofy, standing on the pallets in the fire pit, being the go to ones if there was a fight, or just having the dumbest but best ideas. Their crazies matched! They went hand in hand in the most intense ways, they then came up with their favorite saying for each other, Fire and Gasoline baby, we gon burn this bitch down Not long passed, it was about 2 weeks into them talking. They were at a bonfire, Andrew had decided their crazies matched and it was time to make a move. Love Story by Taylor Swift came on, Andrew grabbed Chelseas hand and pulled her onto a picnic table. They started dancing on the table and singing the song to each other, Andrew then asked Chelsea to be his girlfriend at the perfect time during the song when it says baby just say yes, Chelsea said yes and the relationship progressed from there. Andrew and Chelsea decided they couldnt be apart from each other, the nest step would be to talk to the kids about moving to Kentucky. Both of the kids agreed they would like to step away from the big city and take the leap of moving somewhere new. In June of 2023 Andrew, Chelsea, the kids, and their 3 dogs moved from California to Kentucky. Since moving to Kentucky they have had time to grow together and have made their relationship stronger than ever.

For their one year anniversary Andrew and Chelsea went to a UL vs UK football game with their friends, during the game Andrew asked Chelsea to be his wife, Chelsea then said if you get me a churro, yes! Andrew agreed... but Chelsea never got her churro. Despite not getting her churro, Chelsea would never take her answer back! Now, Andrew and Chelsea have not had the perfect relationship, there has been arguments and fights, all over trivial things. They have overcome many things together, helped each other heal, and grow as individuals. They have both realized although it has not been easy, they are passionate and their love is stronger than any problem they have. They are crazy about each other (and just crazy in general), they have an old fashioned type of love that does not give, they both have very traditional expectations of their relationship. This is what makes them work together. With all that being said, Andrew and Chelsea are thankful to have their family and friends join them in the celebration of their love and commitment to each other.
