Hike the Domain
Sewanee has many great trails, including the Perimeter Trail, a 20-mile loop around the Domain. This link has a few favorite day hikes on campus.
Mountain Goat Market
Our favorite sandwich shop of all time, with a cute gift shop too. They also make great pizzas!
Green's View
A beautiful scenic overlook on campus, down the road from the Sewanee Inn.
Sewanee Memorial Cross
Great place to watch a sunset, have a picnic, or the start to a hike on the Perimeter Trail! A beautiful overlook at any time of day. **Follow Tennessee Avenue to the very end of the road.
Mountain Outfitters
Wonderful, locally owned outdoors store carrying an array of quality brands, products, and clothing. We love it!
Shenanigans
A local favorite bar known for their cold beers on tap and casual dining. Note you *must* have your I.D. to grab a beer!
LUNCH
LUNCH focuses on local ingredients and features a rotating seasonal menu alongside prepared meals, beverages, and other provisions also available.
Abbo's Alley Loop
An easy walking trail in the middle of campus! Also the namesake of our dog, Abbo. **You can start near the Gazebo on South Carolina Ave or on Texas avenue between the football field and Gym.
Morgans Steep
Another stunning overlook located on the Domain.
The William Ralston Music Listening Library & Archive
Located on the second floor of DuPont Library is a music listening experience unlike many others. Hours vary. However, you may consider dropping in to see if there is an open session occurring. It is well worth it if you happen to catch one!
Frisbee Golf
If inclined towards Frisbee golf, learn more and download a map of the Course at the link below. The course is located in Manigault Park, the heart of central campus. Unlike traditional Frisbee golf, instead of metal baskets, Sewanee utilizes trees as the course's 18 "holes," marked by small eye-level brass signs.
Bike the Mountain Goat Trail
