Wedding Postponed

You know why...

Due to the current pandemic, we will not be able to hold our wedding on the posted date (6/27/2020). Our current plan is to hold a very small wedding ceremony August 15th with our immediate family members because we just can't wait to be married! We hope that you all will be able to join us in celebrating at a reception party next year (date: TBD)! Please reach out if you have any questions! :) We will keep this page updated as we figure out the future!

How We Met

In her freshman year of college at Cal Poly, Alex joined a small Christian sorority. She was looking for a community and found that in ADX. At the same time, Ford joined a small Christian fraternity, AGO, also in a search for community. As it turns out, AGO is the brother fraternity of ADX (or ADX is the sister sorority of AGO). Because of this, both AGO and ADX were like one big community that hung out regularly and often made their new pledges/members work together on projects. Alex and Ford got to know each other through a series of group events including practicing for a lip-sync performance, going to In-N-Out in formal attire, and game nights. While Alex quickly developed a crush on Ford, he had his focus on his other time-consuming extra-curricular activities. Over the years since they first met, they remained friends and saw each other regularly at events, parties, and line dancing. After spending much of their 2017 winter break together in Washington (partly by accident ;)), Alex couldn't help but ask Ford out. Even though he refused (like a silly boy), she would not take no for an answer. Since that uncharacteristic act of courage on Alex’s part, the pair has been growing steadily in their relationship together, in spite of having a majority of the relationship be long-distance dating. Last summer (2019) in San Luis Obispo, on top of Terrace Hill at sunset, Ford finally proposed to his best friend. Terrace Hill is a spot that Ford & Alex have visited many times together and holds a special place in the story of their relationship. Now they would like to invite you to celebrate with them as they embark on their future together and can't wait to share this special day and journey with you all!
