How it started

August 2016

Michelle and I (Hi! Mike here) met through our mutual friend Trevor (Or Travis or whatever) at Westconn (Go Colonials/Wolves) on move-in day in 2016. Our first (and second, and third) date was to Friendly’s because Michelle wasn’t of legal drinking age. We got to know each other very well in the first few dates because we spent hours talking (90/10 Michelle talking to listening ratio) about everything under the sun and stars.

First year/Birthday trips

Years 1-7

Michelle and I established a tradition in 2017 of going on a birthday trip every year on Labor Day weekend. Year 1- Old Quebec City/Montreal Year 2- Vermont/Green Mountain Challenge Year 3- Portland, Maine Year 4- Cape Cod/P Town Year 5- San Diego Year 6- Burlington, VT Honorable trip mentions- Asheville, Denver, Europa (Italy, France, Germany), Aruba. Now I know what you may be thinking: Mike, most of those trips seem narrowly focused on discovering some of the most incredible breweries on earth, is that what you planned the trips around? I assure you that isn’t the case, just a random coincidence. In 2020 during the height of the pandemic, Michelle and I moved into an apartment together in Beacon Falls, CT where we adopted 2 cats (Jackson and Fat Sticks). Michelle made a regular habit of spending every day at the pool for 2 years and only touching the water twice (She’s all about the tan). During this time in Beacon Falls, Michelle developed a severe reading addiction and it’s developed into something that might require prescription strength drugs to stop. In 2022, we moved to Norwalk, CT where we still reside today. Norwalk has become home for now and we love our apartment and short trips around the area to explore new eateries!

Beginning of Fordever

& ever & ever & ever

After about a year of trips, weekends, and late nights discussing getting engaged without a ring in sight, I finally convinced Michelle an engagement wasn’t going to happen until 2024 along with the help of Kerry (Michelle’s sister and Maid of Honor). It was therefore very surprising to Michelle when I pulled out a ring on October 20th, 2023 and asked her to take the next step in life with me and to be my wife Fordever. After screaming “Oh my God, oh my god, oh my god” for a few minutes, she finally said yes. Immediately after saying yes, we left for a pre-planned trip to the nicest, most beautiful city in the world- Baltimore, Maryland! Baltimore has a special place in my heart and now Michelle’s heart because I’m a die hard Ravens fan. The Ravens are something Michelle was forced to inherit at first, but now she has grown to love the organization and Eric De Costa (Ravens GM) as much as I do. Michelle did write notes for me on topics to cover so this is the paragraph about how “lit we are to get MFing hitched” I think the MF stands for our initials. The last thing I need to cover is you. You reading this right now. Hey you, it’s us- Michelle and Mike and we just want to let you know how important you are to us. If you’re reading this then you’re being invited to our wedding because we consider you family. We can’t express our gratitude enough to you for what we’ve gotten to experience together and we just want to say how excited we are that you’ll be there on our special day. Meet us on the dance floor?- Michelle and Mike
