Question

Where + when is the wedding?

Answer

We are so excited to be married on Saturday, May 15th at White Oak Farm in Michigan City, Indiana. All wedding day events — welcome drinks, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception — will take place on the property so we can celebrate together in one beautiful setting.

Question

Is the ceremony outside?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place outdoors on the grounds of White Oak Farm. If the weather has other plans, we will move inside to the Poplar Barn on the property, a gorgeous and intimate setting where we will still be surrounded by everyone we love.

Question

What’s the flow of the day?

Answer

Ceremony outside → cocktail hour indoor/outdoor → reception indoors → dancing indoor/outdoor, until they make us leave.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Chicago Midway (MDW) or O’Hare (ORD) are your best bets.

Question

Do I need a car?

Answer

We recommend renting a car or organizing transportation — Michigan City and the surrounding areas are easiest to navigate that way.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We’ll have a hotel block (details coming soon), likely at Blue Chip Casino. And yes — there will be a shuttle to and from Blue Chip on the wedding day so you can celebrate responsibly. There is also parking available at the venue if you’re driving.

Question

How fancy are we talking?

Answer

Formal. Think elevated, classic, wedding-weekend.

Question

Can I wear heels?

Answer

Yes. The venue is fully paved, so heels are perfectly suitable.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, our wedding will be adults-only with the exception of family children. We hope this allows everyone to relax and celebrate the evening with us.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation includes a plus one, absolutely! If it doesn’t, we kindly ask that you come solo and party with us.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP directly on our wedding website or mail back your card once you have received your formal invitation.

Question

What's for Dinner?

Answer

You will indicate your entrée preference when submitting your RSVP. Kindly note any dietary restrictions on your RSVP so we can ensure you are comfortably accommodated.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Obviously!

Question

Are there other events?

Answer

Yes. We will be hosting a rehearsal dinner for our bridal party and a welcome party for our out of towners. We’re so looking forward to spending more time with you throughout the weekend — additional details will be shared soon.

Question

What should we do while we’re in town?

Answer

Please visit our “Favorite Places” page for recommendations from Chicago to Munster to Michigan City and New Buffalo. These are places we love, and we’re excited to share them with you. P.S. Be mindful of time zones around the venue!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony and kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during this time. We promise to share our professional photographs afterward — we simply want everyone fully present as we begin this next chapter together. Knock yourself out at the cocktail hour + reception, we can't wait to see your smiling faces!
