In the era of online dating Jenna and Kyle both had profiles on a popular dating app, called Tinder. Flash forward to late July 2019 and Jenna was going to Seattle for a 10 day trip to visit a college friend. Kyle was at Sebago Lake on his annual family trip. They matched roughly around the time Jenna was sitting at Logan International awaiting her flight. They chatted for a couple days and Kyle came around to asking Jenna out for coffee. Jenna had to break it to him that she was across the country at the time... and didn't drink coffee. They continued to message each other and set up a lunch date for August 7, the day after Jenna flew back home. Jenna's flight got into Boston late at night and her parents picked her up. By the time they got back to Biddeford, it was very early in the morning. The next morning when they all woke up Jenna quickly rushed her parents out, citing wanting to get back to real life and prepare for work the next day. Jenna's mom even asked, "Is there a boy?!" But Jenna insisted she just wanted to get her ducks back in a row. Jenna's dad thought nothing of this, and got her mom to pack up and leave. By 11 that morning, Kyle was in her driveway picking her up for their first date. As Jenna walked outside, Kyle, trying to be a gentleman, got out of his car to introduce himself, shake Jenna's hand, and open the car door. However Jenna, nervous and not catching the hint, just said "Hi, I'm Jenna," opened her own car door, and quickly hopped in the front seat. Kyle got back in and off to Portland they went. They spent 9 hours together before Jenna said she wanted to go home, and only because she had not yet seen her best friend and roommate of the time, Sarah, since returning home from Seattle. Kyle dropped her off and Jenna told Sarah all about it. Soon after they had date number 2 and started hanging out more and more. By November 2019 they planned a trip to Mexico together and by May 2020 they had moved in together. Now, the rest is history... and Jenna likes coffee.
