In a traditional Chinese wedding, the tea ceremony is a significant ritual that symbolizes respect, gratitude, and the joining of two families. The bride and groom serve tea to their elders—such as parents, grandparents, and other senior relatives—as a gesture of appreciation and respect. In return, the couple often receives blessings, red envelopes, or jewelry as gifts. The tea is usually a sweet blend, symbolizing a harmonious marriage. It is a beautiful and meaningful tradition that honors family and heritage.
We wish we could invite everyone, but unfortunately, only those listed on the invitation are invited. While we adore your little ones, the ceremony and reception will be for adults only.
Cocktail attire is requested. Cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, suits, or dark jackets and slacks are all welcome.
The Permanent, located at 330 West Pender Street in downtown Vancouver, does not have on-site parking. However, EasyPark Lot 2 at 150 West Pender Street is nearby. The venue is also just a 10-minute walk from both the Waterfront and Stadium SkyTrain stations. For added convenience and peace of mind, we recommend using Uber or Lyft.
