Our love story began in 2019 at The Loop bar in Minneapolis’ North Loop. Matt caught Lauren’s eye, so she approached him and they started chatting. They spent the evening talking and laughing before exchanging numbers. A few weeks later, they went on their first date—a brewery visit followed by a walk around Bde Maka Ska in Uptown. As it got dark, they hopped on scooters to head back to Lauren’s apartment, where a sidewalk mishap led to an ER visit and a memorable first-date story. After some recovery time (and flowers from Matt), they went on their second date… which led to six more years of dates. In May 2025, Matt proposed to Lauren in Boom Island Park—and the rest is history!
