We met in the summer of 2014 through mutual friends in Boston while attending Berklee College of Music. In the dim light of our friend Dan's house, we bonded over a mutual love of Star Wars and playing by the rules. We started dating later that same year. In 2016, after two years of glorious dating, we graduated from Berklee. We each had a different post-graduate trajectory. Nathan, who had just graduated with dual degrees in Film Scoring and Composition, went to LA to complete a Master's of Music program at USC. Laura moved to Colorado to complete a clinical internship required for her Music Therapy Degree and also began attending Colorado State University to obtain a Master's of Music in Music Therapy. Of course, we decided to attempt long-distance with no real idea of how long the separation would last. This is something we highly recommend to anyone who wants to test the limits of their relationship-NOT. Once Laura finished her internship, she decided to take a job in San Diego. While we were happy to be in the same state again, we were still living different lives in different cities, trying to consolidate our time a few weekends out of the month. It was not the best time, frankly. After 14 months of separation, we were reunited in the same city. Nathan bought Laura a puppy WITHOUT a proposal just to throw her off (Laura note: rude). Nathan proposed to Laura in an unexpected way, at an unexpected time and location. That basically leads us to now. We are excited to get married and continue to grow and develop together. We are looking forward to seeing you at the ceremony to share this special day with us. With Love, Laura & Nathan
