We both knew OF each other prior to this date. But, Heather was flying to spend time with her NOW Bridesmaid, Kendall Baldwin in Chicago. Since she is dating one of Nate's dear friends IN Indianapolis they wanted to make the drive so Heather could meet Kendall's boyfriend. Next thing you know, Nate finds out Heather is in town, asks her to go on a double date with Kendall and Shane. Let's just say Nate was SO interested in getting to know Heather, understanding how she thought, felt, and loved life. Heather was incredibly encouraged and drawn to Nates sincerity, love of life, and gentleness. They talked for 5+ hours in a local diner and completely hit it off!

Ugh. What do I even say?! Nate totally did the greatest job ever. I was under the impression we were going to a fancy Sunday brunch. We took a "detour" to the park and then I started FREAKING OUT. We begin to walk...and there is a stretch of benches and rose petals with pictures from different stages of our relationship. The final stretch of the path was a guitar and rose petals. Nate sang me "Hearts don't break around here" by Ed Sheeran...needless to say I completely melted. This was followed by him getting down on one knee and asking me to marry him. GUSHING STILL and dreaming of the day I get to be his WIFE.
