How We Met

01.20.2016

Rewind to December of 2015 when Brandon was making several attempts to take me on a date, I finally came around on my first day back to college classes in January of 2016. I had just dropped Parker off at daycare for the very first time and decided since I had so much time to kill between then and my first class I would go to lunch. I decided to text Brandon, whom I had not replied to in a few days and see if he would go to lunch with me. By the stroke of luck this amazing man had taken off of work halfway through the day and agreed to go on our very first date at Ginger's! -Beth

Falling in Love

While eating lunch on our very first date, Brandon listened so intently to me go on about Parker. I specifically remember Brandon asking questions about my family, how I grew up, what my life values were, what I was looking for, and how I intended to raise Parker. These questions were deep, he was not out looking for a girlfriend, he was looking for his wife. The way he presented himself that very first day struck me. I remember leaving that day giving him a hug on his parents porch thinking to myself "I am going to love this man for the rest of my life." I have truly known since day one that Brandon was the last man I would ever date. -Beth

Elopement

01.31.2018

So many long talks about the future led to us deciding to get married in a way that fit us the best, elopement. With our parents blessings, we left work early, picked up Parker, and off to the courthouse we went! Throughout our relationship life has happened in funny ways and the day of our marriage it was showing us how real life is. Brandon was getting over having the stomach flu the day before and I was dealing with some issues with my cornea that made it hard for me to keep my eyes open. We stood before each other and, with Parker witnessing our expression of love, pledged most importantly that day in sickness and in health! Rings were exchanged, Parker got his ring pop, and the kiss we skipped (I was quite determined not to get the stomach flu). Following our marriage I went to the eye doctor and then we went home to rest. Our parents joined forces to also surprise us with a dinner celebration and amazing wedding cake at Puccini's. From the beginning we were shown what marriage truly is, loving one another without conditions. We hope to continue taking on life one step at a time as a team and are excited to see where it takes us! -Beth
