Why Milwaukee?

Answer

Many people have asked us why we are having our wedding in Milwaukee. When we started planning our wedding, we thought long and hard about the kind of experience we wanted to have with our friends and family. One of our favorite things in the world is to take trips and experience new places with the people we care about. Over the years we've been fortunate enough to have seen a lot of new and sometimes random places, with many of you at our sides. We loved the idea of creating a fun trip, with people we like, to a place you may not have been able to visit yet. Milwaukee fit the bill perfectly-- as a city it's very approachable and easy to navigate. By having our wedding downtown we hope our guests will have the chance to explore all that the city has to offer--on foot if possible! Since Milwaukee has plenty of history, architecture, cheese, and beer, we really think there is something here for everyone...and it's the perfect place to bring everyone together to party for our wedding!

Can I combine your wedding with a trip to Chicago?

Answer

YES! Milwaukee is only about an hour and a half drive from Chicago. You could easily fly into Chicago a couple of days ahead of time, then rent a car and drive to Milwaukee for the weekend. There is also a train that runs from Chicago to Milwaukee that takes about 2 hours.

Yes! Look for their names on your invitation and be sure to RSVP on their behalf as well.

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
