Gabriel and I met at the beginning of 2021 on Upward. I knew Gabriel was different from the beginning. He asked intriguing follow-up questions, responded accordingly, and would reply with a response longer than a few words. From our instant connections from faith to recreation, it truly was comforting to connect with a person that I could call a friend. We both wanted a friendship first and foremost and after a few weeks of exchanging messages and phone calls, we agreed to meet in person on Valentine’s Day by attending church and exploring the town together. We made it official a week after and the rest is practically history: we combined our interests and brought the best out in our gifts and since then photographed a handful of weddings, played our instruments, continue to read the Bible, completed an array of puzzles & made great memories at our favorite theme parks. Gabriel proposed on Christmas & we are planning to get married this Spring. We are eternally grateful to God for answering the prayers we have prayed and look forward to serving Him as a married couple this year.
