On the final Sunday of Riot Fest, September 18th, 2022, closing out a weekend they both deemed "BEST WEEKENED EVER", Blake orchestrated a moment that would forever change their lives. When Danielle and Blake first started dating, Danielle was driving home from Blake's apartment and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' 'MAPS' played on the radio. Danielle, overwhelmed by the emotions it stirred, replayed the song over and over, realizing then that she was falling in love with Blake. Fast forward to the festival, as the chorus to 'MAPS' began, Blake seized the moment to propose, leaving Danielle excited, shocked, and speechless (except for a few choice expletives). With tears in her eyes, she nodded her head "Yes". Following the proposal, Blake continued the surprise by organizing a celebration at one of their classic spots, The Violet Hour. Surrounded by some of their closest friends and family, the joyous occasion marked the beginning of a beautiful chapter in their love story.
