In August of 2015, Nik'Toshia, was headed to a AAAS meeting at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. While walking she noticed a slightly familiar face walking with a friend of hers. Nik'Toshia had seen this guy a time or two before. As the two groups began to approach, Nik'Toshia and the handsome stranger continued to lock gazes, eventually colliding. As they walked into the Russell House Theater, they chose to sit together. During the meeting they began engaging in an intriguing conversation in which Nik'Toshia hopped out of her seat, as loud as can be, ready to make her point and opinion heard by all. When she felt a gentle hand on her shoulder, as she looked back, she saw the handsome stranger. He whispered to her that he wanted to hear what she had to say but her delivery could be different. As she looked back at him with a puzzled look, as if to state with her face, who are you talking to, instead she felt a sense of calm come over her as she sat back down in her seat. The handsome stranger introduced himself as Lenjaine. They proceeded to talk throughout that night and he walked her back to her dorm after the meeting. Days went by and Nik'Toshia continued to have Lenjaine on her mind. She had a project coming up in her education class where she needed to interview someone. You guessed it......the next day Lenjaine came over to be interviewed for her project. That day she learned about his family & childhood growing up. As they talked she became more and more interested in the man before her. Thankfully before leaving that day he asked her on a date. For their first date Lenjaine drove Nik'Toshia around Columbia showing her where he grew up, his childhood schools and more. To end a wonderful night before heading back to the dorms, they stopped at Sonic for food and slushies. That day moving forward they became inseparable, literally. Eight years later they have experienced an atomic love like no other. They have grown together, experienced highs & lows together, and through it all they are more in love today than ever before. They are excited to commit their loving union in front of God, family, & friends this July 20, 2024. #FlowersEverlasting
