Massage is a MUST!
If you’re coming from outside Indonesia, here’s what you need to know: massage prices range a lot—from a simple foot massage to full-on luxury spa treatments. Personally, we only care about traditional hands-on pressure, which you can get at a pretty low price. To give you an idea, here’s what price ranges look like in real places around Uluwatu: €€€ - Karma Spa at Karma Kandara – Think ocean-view massages, infrared saunas, and "Island Detox" treatments. The fancier the name, the higher the price—60-minute massage = Rp1.000.000 (€60). €€ - Nomads Haus – Offers Madero Body Shaping Massage (with wooden tools to break down fat + scrub) for 2h = Rp860.000 (€50). A classic massage = Rp500.000 (€30). €€ - Laniakea Spa – Traditional massages with 2h treatments maxing at Rp420.000 (€24). Balinese full-body massage = Rp220.000 (€13) per hour. € - Dynasty Hill Spa – Just want good pressure and don’t care about the setting? 1-hour = Rp120.000 (€7), or a quick back & neck for Rp100.000 (€6).

This is one spot you don’t want to miss—Florian swears by it! At low tide, the Uluwatu reefs form a natural pool, creating crystal-clear, calm waters right on the beach. Picture soft sand, shallow turquoise water, and towering reef walls—it’s pure magic. Now, if low tide happens during sunset? You probably didn’t see this one coming! 😉 We know… Bali is "full" of hidden beaches that no one goes to—except for, well, everyone. It’s no secret that this island is a surfer’s paradise, with world-class waves and plenty of spots to paddle out. If you're new to surfing, click the "view" button for a better guide. Bali’s sunsets hit different—golden skies, ocean views, and that perfect end-of-day vibe. Here are some of the best spots to catch the magic: 🌊 Dreamland beach: There's not much there—just the sound of wave crashing at the beach and the sun going down. 🔥 Uluwatu Temple: Clifftop views that make you feel like you’re on top of the world. Bonus: epic Kecak fire dance at sunset! ⛱️ Jimbaran Beach: Think fresh seafood, toes in the sand, and the sky turning every shade of pink. 👙 Seminyak Beach (Isel's favorite) : Sunset with a cocktail in hand at a beachfront bar? Yes, please. 🏝️ Echo Beach, Canggu: Laid-back vibes, fewer crowds, and unreal reflections on the wet sand.
Island Hopping
👉🏼 Nusa Lembongan: Approximately 30 minutes by boat from Sanur Beach. Ideal for snorkeling, diving, and relaxing on pristine beaches. 👉🏼 Nusa Penida: Around 45 minutes by boat from Sanur Beach. Known for stunning cliff views, Kelingking Beach, and Crystal Bay. 👉🏼 Nusa Ceningan: A short bridge connects it to Nusa Lembongan. Offers serene beaches and the famous Blue Lagoon cliff jump. 👍🏼 Gili Islands: Accessible via a 1.5 to 2-hour fast boat ride from Padang Bai. Bali isn’t just about beaches—its culture runs deep. From ancient temples to unique museums; but to be honest, most temple are similar. Only a few offering different experience. Here are a few that worth to check out: 👉🏼 Uluwatu Temple – Perched on a cliff with unreal ocean views. Stay for the sunset Kecak fire dance—it’s a must! 🔥 👉🏼 GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana) – Home to a massive 121-meter statue of the Hindu god Vishnu riding Garuda, plus cultural performances and scenic viewpoints. 👉🏼 Tirta Empul – Famous for its holy spring water, where visitors can join in a traditional purification ritual. Museums Worth Visiting 👉🏼 Blanco Renaissance Museum – The former home of Spanish artist Antonio Blanco, filled with quirky, colorful, and sometimes erotic artwork. 👉🏼 Saka Museum – A lesser-known but beautifully designed museum highlighting Balinese culture and traditions. Heads up: Most temples require a sarong, but don’t worry—you can rent one at the entrance! 😉

Bali’s got some killer nightlife—whether you’re up for sunset drinks, live music, or dancing on tables, here are some spots to check out! Around Uluwatu 🏄🏼♂️ Single Fin – Every Wednesday and Sunday, famous among surfers and travelers party after a day on the waves. Good for sunset too! 🎭 Hatch Uluwatu – A quirky, jungle-themed party spot with hidden corners and wild beats. Also, they have small tattoo studio at the gate! Other Parts of Bali 🏖️ Atlas Beach Club – Claimed to be Asia’s biggest beach club—it even has an infinity wave! 🌿 Potato Head – Made of thousands of repurposed wooden shutters. Sustainable and stylish! 💃 Motel Mexicola – Spoiler: it's not a motel, it's a bar/club. Dance on tables? Yes! This neon-lit fiesta spot turns into a full-blown party after dark

Let’s be real—Bali Belly is real, but totally preventable (Florian has never had it, so you’ve got a chance too!). Check our FAQs for tips. If you’re feeling adventurous, these street food gems are everywhere—just look out for the names! 😋 Martabak – Indonesia’s stuffed pancake. Sweet (chocolate, cheese) or savory (meat, eggs). Warning: it’s for sharing! 😋 Gorengan – Deep-fried snacks like pisang goreng (fried banana) and molen (crispy banana wrap). Cheap, crispy, addictive. 😋 Satay (Chicken/Pork) – Grilled skewers with peanut sauce. Try Sate Babi—sweet, smoky, and delicious. 😋 Rujak – Fresh fruits tossed in a sweet, spicy, and tangy sauce. If you’re up for some fresh air and stunning scenery, here are some stuff we recommend to check out: 🐒 Ubud Monkey Forest – Wander through this sacred forest where cheeky macaques roam free. Just watch your stuff and your snacks! 🍌 💦 Tegenungan Waterfall – One of the most accessible waterfalls near Ubud. Take a dip or just enjoy the lush jungle vibes. 🌿 Campuhan Ridge Walk – A scenic, easy hike in Ubud with rolling hills and gorgeous rice field views. Best enjoyed at sunrise or sunset! If you don't mind traveling far up north the island, check these out too: 🏞️ West Bali National Park – A hidden gem for nature lovers, offering diverse wildlife, trekking trails, and even snorkeling spots. 🌄 Mount Batur Sunrise Trek – A must-do for adventure seekers! Okay, full disclosure—we’ve never personally done a healing session, but we know some people who swear by them (including some of our best friends!). If you're curious, we’d be happy to introduce you at the party. But for now, here are some places that come highly recommended: 🧘🏽♂️ Pak Sirkus – A well-known Balinese healer offering energy readings and alternative therapies. People say his insights can be life-changing. 🔊 Pyramids of Chi – A unique sound healing experience inside giant pyramids in Ubud. Think deep relaxation and cosmic vibes. ✨ 🌳 Akar Healing (Pak Heru) – Specializing in Totok Healing, a technique passed down from Shaolin monks. Based on acupressure and meridian channels, it won’t work overnight, but it’s said to bring steady healing from the first treatment.
