FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive around 20-30 minutes before the ceremony.

Question

Can I bring a date/my kids?

Answer

Unfortunately due to limited space, we ask that you limit the number of your party to the number of seats reserved in your honor on your invitation. Only children involved in the wedding are invited.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Parking around Sacred Heart is a bit limited as the church is located in a city neighborhood. The Montour Country Club has plenty of parking on site.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

A block of rooms at a nearby hotel will be reserved for guests traveling from out of town. The information will be provided on your invitation. As the block is limited, we highly suggest booking as soon as possible. We recommend staying at hotels near the Pittsburgh Airport as that is near the township where our reception will be held.

Question

Will there be transportation for guests?

Answer

There is a free shuttle van that will run between the hotel and the reception venue during the reception. Guests are highly encouraged to utilize this option to prevent any tragedies and for their safety! Guests will have to have their own transportation to and from the ceremony.

Question

I’m not Catholic—should I attend the ceremony?

Answer

Absolutely, yes! We want each of our guests to feel welcome to all parts of our wedding. We are having a Catholic mass as matrimony is a sacrament in our faith. Guests who are not Catholic are able to participate in all parts of the mass that they feel comfortable with—prayer, singing, etc.—except going up to receive the Eucharist (also known as “communion”). We ask if you wish to line up, you may cross your arms in front of your chest to receive a blessing from the priest. Otherwise you may remain sitting in your pew during that time.
