4th of July Parade in Victor, ID marks the beginning of the wedding festivities! Great family event, food and art vendors in park after the parade. Victor is 8.3 miles E of Driggs, about 10mins. Check website periodically for schedule of events for 2024.
July 4-7th the balloon rally is truly a magical experience. Arrive early as a morning spectator and witness balloons setting up just before launching their stunning colors up up to the sky where they meet the first rays of the sun that touch the Tetons. Fun for the whole family or just for the early birds. For more information on admission prices, start times and even balloon rides visit the website.
Nick and I love Teton Thai in Driggs. Our favorites: Fried Wontons Fried Dumplings Bison Pho Pad Gar Pow Pad See Ew Panang Curry
Our favorite local bar and restaurant to catch a Dodger, Cubs or Hawkeye game and horse races. Great lunch and dinner menu. +Only restaurant in Teton Valley that servers food till 10pm. Don’t walk in at 9:55pm and order food they will call you out in it hahaha. Bar closes when the vibe dies.
Warbirds Cafe is where Nick and I officially met. Wasn’t about 3 months later that he showed me his rock collection…the rest was history.
This is the Western entrance to Yellowstone national park through Montana. It is around a 2 hour drive (to the entrance) with fairly mellow and beautiful terrain. From this entrance you can reach old faithful and/or Mammoth reasonably quick. Wildlife is typical in this area!
This Southern entrance to Yellowstone is accessed outside of Jackson Hole, Wy. From Driggs, ID you travel through Jackson Hole, WY before entering Grand Teton National Park on your way to Yellowstone National Park. This is a great loop to enter through for a lot of ground covered with your exit being West Yellowstone on your way back to Teton Valley, ID. The drive from Driggs, ID to the south entrance is about 2 hours but may take longer as there are many places to stop and take photos.
